A number of accountants pooled their resources to form one organisation. Below is a list of the ports from where we left.
Wammes & Van der Sman, Culemborg
In 2002, the SME-focused firm that Patrick van der Sman had built up, was taken under the wings of Wammes & Van der Sman accountants in Culemborg. The firm was strengthened by the arrival of Hans Liefrink RA from Ernst & Young and from that moment on, the firm started working with audit clients.
O2 Accountants, Dordrecht
In 2010, together with Hans Ouwens RA and Teun den Ouden RA, both former E&Y colleagues of Hans Liefrink, O2 Accountants was started in Dordrecht. After a period of successful cooperation it was decided to merge the two organisations in 2012. In the same year, a participation was acquired in EB Portaal in Ede, a company providing payroll administration and employee benefit services.
Accountantskantoor Schut & Van der Velde, Ede and Gorinchem
In 2014, a joint venture was set up with the Schut & Van der Velde accountancy firm with offices in Ede and Gorinchem. Arno Schut succeeded his father as partner in this organisation. The Schut accountancy firm was established by Niek Schut 40 years ago. The business went through several changes in its lifetime, but its philosophy remains the same. The organisation has a long-established reputation as a no-nonsense accountancy firm. Core values remain personal contact and an approachable attitude. The loyalty of staff and clients are also reflected in the core values of the individual offices as the cornerstone of long-term relationships.
Fusion into O2 Accountants
The core values and mentality are the leitmotivs for the new collaboration which has become O2 Accountants. This upscaling and rejuvenation of activities, partly driven by a quest for improved quality and changing legislation, were effectuated in 2015 with the merger of the respective firms.
